Archives for August 2019
I have seen What’s in my Handbag blog posts around the internet for years now! I have been blogging for over 4 years now and I have only just thought wahey lass why don’t you do what’s in your handbag post, even though my bag hasn’t got anything particular fun inside.
I currently have 2 handbags; one is from New Look and the other one is my River Island handbag which is usually the everyday handbag I use most days. I took a picture of what’s inside my bag at the moment but I put in the list below some other things that could be in their more often than not.
Kit Star Brushes | Review
This post contains PR/gifted items, no paid content. All opinions are my own |
When it comes to makeup, I sure know that a good makeup brush can make such a difference in creating and finishing a makeup look. On my mission of trying new brushes that work well for my makeup routine Kit Stars Brushes sent me some of their base & eyeshadow brushes to try out.
Kit Star brushes are made from either natural or vegan bristles. The handles are weighted and look stylish with their glossy black and golden design. They are hand made and honestly, they are literally a luxurious made brush with an affordable price to everyone! Prices start at just £6 and the highest product being a respectable £15.

Lush Deep Sleep Bath Bomb | Review
I have had my eyes on this bath bomb from Lush for a while now as for me it has some witch/magic vibes to it which I just love! The first thing you will notice about Lush Deep Sleep is that it’s not like the usual baht bombs at Lush, this one is wrapped with biodegradable muslin cloth and string.
This bath bomb is designed to help you get a better night sleep with its blend of lavender, chamomile and neroli oil. The blend infuses kinda like a teabag in the water.
First things first, I don’t sleep amazingly and some nights are worse than others when getting a good nights kip, so giving this a try was something I thought that would be worth it to get a comfy and relaxing sleep at night time.

July Beauty Favourites: Here comes the sun!
Following on from Junes Beauty favourites post which was based on products I liked using in the month which seemed to be like every season rolled into one. I really thought maybe July would have been sunnier and actually like summer but my goodness it has rained days more than they have been the sunshine. I think we had a few nice days without they being rain but apart from that, its been a damp summer for sure.
My July beauty favourites are totally based on the warmth, occasional sunny days and the torrential rains we keep getting. One day of summer is really not enough, right?
Are you excited to read about my choices? Check them out below.

An Introduction to a Pro-Age, Cruelty free and British Brand Ark Skincare
This post contains PR/gifted items, no paid content. All opinions are my own |
I am sure many of you will know that I am a huge skincare fan by now, so I won’t bore you all with that. The amount I know about looking after my skin has definitely broadened over the years by reading books, blogs and watching programmes about skincare. I was kindly sent by the fabulous people at Ark Skincare to try out some their age protect range.
Their age range has age-specific products; Protect is for Teens to 20s skin ( which they sent me as I am 28). They also have Defend which is for 30-40s skin and finally Defy which is for 50 plus skin. I love they have age-specific products because let us be honest with ourselves our skin does change through time but we do want to take care of it the best we can with the right products for us right?
Ark Skincare is an award-winning natural, cruelty-free, vegan-friendly brand that has so many good things to point out that I will try my best to tell you them all! Their products contain bioactive natural ingredients, highly effective antioxidants, lipids and vitamins. Now with all that good stuff in them, they also ensure that their products are FREE FROM parabens, SLS, mineral oil, S.D alcohol, Formaldehyde and artificial colours and fragrances.
Beautiful skin at every age
