My hair is a bright hot pink, yay! On Instagram over the last few months, you may have noticed that my hair has changed colour into variations of different pinks. Lately, I have been using Crazy Color ‘Pinkissimo’ which is a ‘hot pink’ shade.
I saw this gorgeous hot pink shade in my local Superdrug and I knew I just had to try it out! Since I bought it I have used it about 4 times now, love it enough to share my experience using it! Pinkissimo is Crazy Colors Best selling pink hair dye. I think it’s time to share my thoughts on it.
All the info you have is simply on the bottle, they are no gloves, box or paper leaflet. How to use the semi-permanent dye is on the bottle and also on their website which is handy as they have a step by step guide. I made sure I had everything beforehand so it would be less messy. I wore an old towel and washed my hair with a mild shampoo before applying this dye. This works like a conditioner and very different from permanent hair dyes.
I used gloves and applied ‘Pinkissimo’ to the longer parts of my hair (I have an undercut). Since I love bright things I really wanted it to be as bright as possible so I left it on my head for 30 mins before washing it off with warm water (hot water can wash away semi-permanent hair dye quicker)My hair was bleach blonde before applying.
How does it look?
For me, the results were much better the dryer my hair was. When my hair has been too damp the dye didn’t stick to the hair very well and I needed to reapply to certain areas. But I can’t complain as the bottle has plenty for reapplication (even though it was annoying redoing at times)
I love how vibrant the pink is and it has to be one of he top 3 pink dyes I have tried.
It lasts 3 washes for me before needing to do it again so personally, I like to wash my hair a little less so my hair can be more vibrant for longer. I am looking to try different hair care products to keep my hair looking pinker for longer.
- Natural ingredients
- Haircare to take care of the colour
- If pink isn’t for you they are loads of colours to choose from
- Not really a con but something to think about before getting this. You need gloves, an old towel and don’t forget to read the instructions. Gloves are a must as the dye can stain your hands.
So would I use. it again? Most likely! It doesn’t irritate my scalp and feels as gentle as a mild conditioner. It has vibrant results on light blonde hair. Even though the results don’t last as long as I would hope I enjoy it enough to keep reapplying whenever I feel the need for a colour touch up with my hair.
Until next time
