My Illamasqua Lipstick Collection

Makeup to me is one of the things that makes me the person I am and love being. Now I just love days when I don’t wear makeup as those are the days I pay way more attention myself ( I do anyways but way more on days I don’t wear makeup). Even though I love wearing makeup, the one product that you will see I have a lot of and you may have guessed … its lipsticks! Lipsticks are a great way for me to express myself and show my makeup skills at the same time. I tend to wear more bold lipstick looks most days but nudes definitely do play a big part in my collection too as I love to wear them when I wear vibrant eyeshadows. I love going by Audrey Hepburn’s quotes, “I believe in manicures. I believe in overdressing. I believe in primping at leisure and wearing lipstick.”

Now following on from my MAC Cosmetics Lipstick collection I thought it was about time I showed you all my lovely Illamasqua lipstick collection. I fell in love with Illamasqua a few years back when I first discovered the brand, when I first started blogging.

In my collection so far are 7 amazing lipsticks and you know something? I actually love them all! I won most of these and I feel so lucky I did.

💕Antimatter – Intense colour with a semi-matte finish.

💕 Glamore – Colour intense in a satin finish.

💕 Matte – Highly pigmented matte lipsticks.

They have a selection of vegan-friendly makeup and also the brand is cruelty-free.

Lip liners. Liquid Lipstick. Lip Gloss.

This lipstick is a glamour lipstick and has a satin finish. It is a lovely berry shade and glides on so creamy. It has to be my favourite autumn berry lipstick. It doesn’t last all day, unfortunately; lasts up to 2 hours, but it does feel soft on the lips and doesn’t go streaky.

I love this lipstick, it is a gorgeous matte lipstick that is a Fuschia pink with a lovely violet iridescent sheen. Even though its a little hard to apply as its matte; its very nice and doesn’t feel dry once on the lips. This lipstick is long-lasting and lasts up to 4 hours even after eating and drinking.

This is a beautiful peachy-brown shade and is in a satin finish. This is my second favourite nude Illamasqua lipstick.

A stunning hot pink that has cool tones to it, I would almost say it has blue hues to it. I love this cool pink shade. It is very pigmented and has a stand out matte finish.

Another gorgeous nude shade and this one is a mid-toned rose-brown shade.  This has a satin finish.

Cherub ⭐

My favourite nude lipstick out of all my lipsticks. It is a rose-toned satin lipstick and it so versatile. It works so well with everyday makeup and even party makeup, so perfect.

I love the name and I love the cool pink but unfortunately, it doesn’t suit my complexion at all. It is a satin finish but as I said it doesn’t suit me but its so pretty I can’t just let it go.

Packaging
Now the packaging is something I love. It comes in a gorgeous sturdy box with the name of lipstick shade on the base and the name. of the brand on the side. The lipstick tube is simple, yet elegant and has a nice classical twist.

Wear
Now depending on the finish is what this depends on. The satin lipsticks do not last as long as the matte lipsticks which I know isn’t surprising as that’s usually the case with most lipsticks. The Glamore lipstick tends to last between 2-4 hours while the matte lipsticks can last up to 5 hours depending on what you are eating or drinking. If you have something hot or greasy the wear time will be a lot less for sure.

Price
The price is something I am a little on the fence with. They cost £20 each which to me is a little bit on the expensive side.  They contain 4g of product compared to MAC Cosmetics 3g of product for £17.50. They do have amazing choices to choose from and the finishes they have are just lovely too. I don’t think I would buy them full price but I will be on them as soon as they go on sale because if you know me, I do love a bargain.
