Pixi Hydrating Milky Makeup Remover

pixi hydrating milky makeup remover

PIXI Hydrating Milky Makeup Remover is a gentle bi-phase formula. It promises to effectively remove eye, lip and face makeup which also includes waterproof makeup. I got the entire Pixi Beauty Hydrating Milky Collection at the start of 2020 and it didn’t take me long to delve into the collection.

As soon as I got the collection I couldn’t wait to try this as I love taking my makeup off after a long day. The bottle 150ml of product and has a push dispense cap which makes it quite easy to saturate a cotton pad/makeup removing towel without the mess. Another couple of things I thought were worth mentioning is that it’s suitable for all skin types and paraben-free.

Pixi Beauty is a cruelty-free brand

pixi hydrating milky collection review

First up I have to say sorry about the photos, I lost my photos of this when it was new so I took photos of it when it was empty 🙂

I really love the fragrance of this as it’s not overpowering, it’s light and refreshing, rather than a floral heavy smell. Its infused with coconut extracts and probiotics to help add balance and moisture to the skin. For toning effects, it has willow bark while it also has cinnamon extract for anti-inflammatory benefits.

Since it is a bi-phase product I was hoping it wouldn’t leave my face feeling oily but it surprised me by being really light and almost water-like. For me, it reminds me of micellar water rather than a bi-phase product.

Using this is so easy, I just love how simple it is! All you do is put a cotton pad on the push dispense top and it gives you the product without wasting product.

I usually cleanse first or use micellar water but since this a makeup remover, I used this to see if it’s true to its claims. I did find it removes most of my makeup perfectly well without the need for reapplying product all the time. I did find that with many of my eyeliners and my long-lasting liquid lipsticks I did struggle and needed a little bit more product, sometimes it would be 3-4 applications. It wasn’t the most ideal in those situations but I do love using this whenever I wear light makeup or a cream lipstick rather than a liquid matte lipstick.

Pros

  • Easy to use push down dispenser. Applies product nicely without fuss or mess.
  • No fragrance, which is a blessing. I am not a fan of strong fragrances in my skincare products.
  • Has hydrating ingredients inside which refreshes the face.
  • Non-greasy
  • Feels weightless and leaves no residue on the skin.

Cons

  • A little on the expensive side because I used it up rather quickly especially trying to remove stubborn makeup.

Thank you for sharing this! I was really interested in this line, just haven’t tried it yet because of the price. It does sound like it’s worth it though.

Pixi always seem to do such great products, I have to admit I’ve not tried this one but it looks like it would be so kind and gentle while removing make up.

I’ve never heard of the brand and it sounds lovely! I have to confess, I’m rubbish for taking off make-up and it’s usually cheap moisturiser if anything… the shame! I’ll have to give this a go!

Such beautiful packaging, glad to hear that the make-up remove does work when you wear light make-up, as I wear light make-up on most days and this would be perfect

This sounds like a good quality remover for light makeup. I tend to only wear light makeup so this would be perfect for me.

I love the Pixi brand and I like the look of this product but it’s a shame it doesn’t remove eyeliner or heavy make up easily. I hate having to rub my makeup to get it off. I use micellar water usually too.
