Over the past few years, period care products have improved so much. They are much more planet-friendly options such as moon cups and products like this which are biodegradable. I have been looking for a brand that offers a subscription that delivers cruelty-free, vegan-friendly, and planet-friendly options. I believe I have found a wonderful option with the Flo Period Subscription box!

Here we Flo are a period subscription box that offers various products, including pads, tampons, or a mixture of both. On their website, they also offer other products like bladder care products and also condoms.

A cheeky combo pack of 15 bamboo pads: 10 Day + 5 Night. ‘Day’ pads are 240 mm + great for light to medium flows. ‘Night’ pads are 280 mm + perfect for heavier flows. With compostable wrappers!

First Impressions

I love that you can have it as a subscription service or a one-off. I got the one-off version so I could give it a try before committing to the service. Postage is free.

For some reason, I don’t get along with tampons so I got a mixed box of pads which are the day and night pads. My order came within 5 days of my ordering which is impressive and great if you know your cycle. They are no need to wait around because the parcel fits through the letterbox, result!

My Thoughts

I really love that these are biodegradable pads and made with soft organic bamboo. I have to be honest with you all, these didn’t work so well for me as one packet of these is simply not enough (10 days and 5-night pads) I had to buy more pads at the shop as I have a heavy flow, especially the first few days.

At £4.99 each buying another box isn’t an option for me as £10 is a little too much for me. I did find them comfy but not 100% leakproof every time.

Cosmopolitan x Pink Parcel Review | February

It has been a while since I posted about the subscription box ‘Pink Parcel’ because I have a few issues with the past boxes I had been sent which I will talk about at the end of the post. The last Pink Parcel post was a few months back in October and that’s when I started to notice a few hiccups. I decided to do one more post since I have decided to cancel the subscription just before I got this box. So the Cosmopolitan is the last box but thankfully it is a decent box.

Pink Parcel is a monthly period-inspired subscription box that sends you all the products you need for your period and also some extras to make your period a little easier. Each box costs less than £11 a month and could contain the any of the following; luxe curations of cult beauty brands, herbal tea, artisan chocolate, seasonal surprises and the obvious such as the pads, tampons or a mixture of both.

October Pink Parcel Review – October 2018

Hello everyone! 🌙Following on from last months review on the September Pink Parcel I decided to give it another chance since it was late last month. This month wasn’t much better and was over a week late and far too late for my period which is the whole point of me buying the box in the first place. Anyways less of negatives and let us carry on with the post.

Pink Parcel is a monthly subscription box that has the essentials such as the pads and/or tampons. It could also have a variety of products including food, beauty and products to help you feel good during your period. The box itself is £12.99 a month and can be cancelled at any time.

This months box theme is ‘Barefaced Beauty Edit’ and highlights a fair amount of skincare products including a face mask.

Hello everyone! 🌙

Following on from last months August’s Pink Parcel I decided to keep the subscription going seeing as its a great addition to have during a time of the month which is unpleasant for me and I am sure it is for many people! PCOS sucks so I can’t guess when to get this delivered so I always seem to miss it which is annoying.

Everyone months box is different apart from the essentials which are always including such as the tampons and/or pads. You could also get food, skincare or beauty products. The box is £12.99 a month and you can cancel or suspend your subscription at any time.

This months box theme is ‘EVE EDIT’ which is a charity that raises awareness and funds research of five types of gynaecological cancer- womb, ovarian, cervical, vulval and vaginal.

Pink Parcel Review – August 2018

Pink Parcel is a monthly period subscription box that sends out the essentials like tampons/pads and also some treats to make having a period that little easier and a bit more relaxing too. I totally had to guess when to get this box because with having PCOS it’s a little hard for me to pinpoint when my next period will be. I keep track of it on my Flo app which makes it easier and I ordered it by looking at my calendar of and unfortunately for me, I guessed a little out thanks to PCOS but still got it on the second day of my cycle.

Every month’s box is different and apart from the essentials of course but you can expect things like treats like sweets/chocolate, skincare and beauty products. The box costs £12.99 a month and can be cancelled anytime.I bought this with my own money but I love the idea of this box so I had to try it out for myself.
