During mid-December, I was kindly sent these beautiful ‘Second Skin’ highlighters to try from Jolie Beauty. The brand is very new to me so I had a look on their website and found out more about the brand. They have a fabulous selection of makeup to choose from including eyeshadow palettes, lipsticks and more.
Not only do they have a great selection of beauty products to choose from they are also cruelty-free. But enough about that let’s get onto the review of these gorgeous looking highlighters!

I was sent two Jolie Beauty Second Skin Highlighters to try and they are called ‘Dreaming’ and ‘Saintly’. They is also two other shades in the range which are called ‘Euphoria’ and ‘Paradise’ Above is a swatch of the shades I have.
Dreaming – a light warm champagne
Saintly – a Golden shimmer
Euphoria – a rose gold shimmer
Paradise – Peachy rose gold
First things first, I just love the packaging! Even before you get to the highlighters you see their nicely designed box. So if your like me and like keeping boxes, these are fab. The highlighters themselves come is a lovely compact that is a shimmery rose gold shade. The highlighter pan is big with a lightning bolt in the middle of it which is a great touch.
These highlighters have been formulated to look more natural on the skin rather than being like intense sparkly glow many highlighters have. They have a smooth buildable texture that can be worn on cream, powder bases or just alone on the skin. They are buildable so you can have them look natural or more shimmery if you like a glam look.
I really love how creamy and vibrant these highlighters are! A little bit goes a long way when applying these. I like to use a highlighter brush and apply some to my cheekbones, cupids bow and the tip of my nose.
I was pleasantly surprised how long these lasted! Not only do they apply nicely but they are long-lasting too. I could see it even after wearing makeup all day.

My thoughts
I really love these highlighters and I have to say ‘Saintly’ is my favourite as it gives my face a lovely golden glow. I am very happy to have tried out this brand as it’s new to me and has a product that I can say I like and look forward to wearing. I can’t wait to try out more products in the future.
Check out the Jolie Beauty Second Skin Range on their website. They cost £16.99 each.
Until next time

I love that they’re cruelty free! That’s always important for me. I’m also happy they’re more natural, sometimes I feel the brighter highlighters look strange on my skin because I’m quite pale, kinda an Edward Cullen in the sun vibe hahaha!
