Hello everyone! 🌙
Can you believe its September already? This year is going by so quickly and I am already excited about Christmas and Halloween. With autumn and winter around the corner, my skincare routine has changed a little bit as in the colder months my lips and hands tend to get drier so lip balms and hand creams are a must for me.
I usually have a couple of lip balms to choose from but they basically ran out at the same time, so I needed a lip balm and that's why I decided to give Burt's Bees lip balms a try while I was shopping in Holland & Barret. I have been wanting to try Burt's Bees for a while now so I am glad I finally have.
About the Brand
Burt's Bees was founded in Maine over 30 years ago and it started by using unused beeswax from hives by a friendly beehive keeper called Burt. The brand has gone from strength to strength since then and is the brand we love today.
Today they are 180 different Burt's Bees products and all of them are at least 99% natural. They are one of the worlds leading brands of natural products.
Products they have to offer to include makeup, skincare and their iconic lip balms and another bonus is they are cruelty-free.
Packaging 🌕
They are basically wrapped in a single layer of plastic to protect the product from being opened before you buy it. The lip balms bottle is very nicely designed with the colour lid that corresponds to what scent it is. Seeing as mine is grapefruit the lid is pink.
Texture 🌕
The texture is firm yet soft but the temperature of your lips helps to melt the balm effortlessly onto the lips.
Scent/Fragrance 🌕
Scent/Fragrance 🌕
This one is a lovely fresh grapefruit scent which smells exactly like a freshly cut grapefruit. Other scents in the range include mango, coconut & pear and many more.
What are its benefits? 🌕
What are its benefits? 🌕
Now that's the key question, right? Well, it is 100% natural, chemical free and it's also cruelty-free. It is also infused with grapefruit oil to moisturize and renew the lips. Perfect to keeps lips soft and hydrated especially if you're prone to dry lips like me.
Burt's Bees lip balms are cruelty-free and vegetarian-friendly. 🐰
How I use it
I use this product either by taking it with me in my handbag and use it every time my lips need hydrated. I also use it in my skincare routine which includes my favourite products like skinirvana beauty oil and XO Balm which I use in the morning and also just before I go to bed. I really try and avoid getting dry lips because it hurtssssss getting dry and cracked lips.
My Thoughts
LOVE LOVE LOVE! I don't know why it took me so long to try this brand because it has to be the best lip balm I have ever tried and used. It has kept my lips feeling soft and a perfect base for my liquid lipsticks and also to use on its own.
Burt's Bees are available online and in stores like Holland and Barretts and boots. It costs £3.99 for 4.25g of product. More info here.
Thanks for reading.

ooh I love these lip balms but I've not tried the pink grapefruit one yet! I love fresh scents so this sounds right up my street. I'll have to pick this one up when my pomegranate one is finished!

This lip balm sounds awesome! Good timing too because the one I'm using now is about to run out.

I too wanted to try Burts Bees for ages before I finally did! I ended up bagging a little giftset with three balms in for £8 in an M&S sale and I absolutely adore all of them! Mine came with the strawberry one in alongside two tinted balms and I couldn't live without them now. The only thing I wish is that they had SPF in!

I'm really into using more natural products as opposed to chemicals so Burts Bees has always been a favourite of mine. I've never tried this particular scent before though - sounds amazing!! Thanks for sharing xx

I need a new lip balm and I love the sound of this :)
ReplyDeleteI'd probably go for the pear or mango though, as I'm not such a fan of grapefruit.
