Face Masks are one of my favourite things to use when I am unwinding and having a bit of self-care day. I usually use a face mask every 4-7 days depending on how I feel but I love how refreshed and moisturised my skin is after. When it comes to choosing which brand to go for Lush is easily up there with my favourites that's for sure.
Before we get started I have to mention I have used this face mask before a couple of years ago and I loved it and thought it would be good to share my experience with it. You may be wondering if I loved it so much then why haven't I bought it more regular but to be honest I love trying a variety
Packaging
This has the signature lush container as other skin care products such as other fresh face mask, moisturisers and scrubs. It contains 75g of product and has a screw top lid which is easy to open and shut without a lot of effort.
Scent
Now I can't decide if I love or hate the smell of this but I can tell you damn, this face mask is hella zesty! Its key ingredients are as follows.
🍋Fresh Organic Lemon Juice - Cleansing and astringent
🍋Murumuru Butter - Protective and moisturising
🍋Grapefruit Oil - Uplifting and Refreshing
🍋Organic Silken Tofu - Moisturising
How to use
I would suggest using either a face mask brush but if you don't have one of them do what I do which is use a concealer or foundation brush. Using a brush saves a lot of time a gets into hard to reach places without getting your hands messing.
Apply a generous amount to the face and avoid the eye are ( eye skin is thinner and needs products specifically for eyes). Once you apply to the skin you will notice how exfoliating it is on the skin as it contains ground rice, it also has a very strong zesty smell which is like marmite, your either gonna love it or hate it LOL. It says to leave on the skin for 10-15 minutes and in that time it starts to dry a little like clay.
Washing it off after the 15 minutes was soooo easy and quite nice actually. Once you apply water to it it goes like a soft buttery texture and melts off the skin and once you do you can feel the difference from using the mask, it's just lovely.

Don't Look At Me is still one of my favourite exfoliating face masks, you can feel it working as soon as you apply it to the skin. The smell may not be my favourite but the fact its a fun blue and it works wonders on my combination skin without irritating it makes me a happy bunny. I would say in the entire tub you could probably get 4 different applications from it which I think a bargain considering a tub costs £8.50. I would definatly repurchase this in the future ( much sooner than I did before though LOL)

I haven''t tried this face mask before, but love 'Cosmetic warrior' (funky smell though!) and 'Rosy Cheeks' so I may have to give this one a go. Thanks for the tip on using a brush, I have only ever applied with my hands before.

Of late, I love the effect of masks on my face! Anyway, your maks sounds great- with kaolin and white rice, it must be super good, right?
ReplyDeleteThis sounds lovely but I'd be so worried it would stain anything I used e.g. brushes, flannels!
