May Beauty Favourites

The weather is getting more sunnier finally this month and they have been so many bank holidays that I have lost count.. thank goodness I keep track with my calendar. It is also Ramadan this month, so May has been a pretty busy month for us.

In last months April Beauty Favourites, it was more based on bright vibrant makeup but this month my favourites are more neutral makeup and skincare oriented. Some of the brands have featured a lot already so far this year because I just love the brands and many of their products are must-haves for me.

Another part of my routine for May has been using a higher SPF since the temperatures are higher and the sun is out for longer. It's an important tip to check skincare SPF to know which temperatures it suits. SPF is an all-around year thing because of no matter what the weather is, it's always important to use an SPF product in daylight to protect against UV rays.
My May Beauty Favourites

Revolution Skin Plumping & Hydrating Serum 2% Hyaluronic Acid
Revolution has upped their skincare game so much since they launched! I love many of their skincare products but this one is my favourite of them at the moment. My skin can get very dehydrated and dry during the warmer months but this serum quenches my skin and hydrates it. Some parts of my skin get quite dry, especially my nose but since using this, it has reduced the amount of dryness, which is a big help as my nose without this looks like its pores are always blocked. This serum is lightweight and I apply this on my skin after cleansing and using a toner but just before using my moisturiser. This can be used in the morning or night time, it is up to you.

Beauty Kitchen SPF 30 Mineral Shield Primer
This is the first SPF primer I have ever tried and has to be one of my favourites for sure. Not only does it have amazing SPF30 protection but it also primes your skin ready for makeup or for leaving it how it is.  I love that this is fragrance-free and that it is also vegetarian-friendly too (contains beeswax).

Anastasia Beverly Hills Blush Trios in Pink Passion
This is the first time I have tried a blush from ABH, and I have to say I am in love! This trio is perfect for me as it has 3 versatile shades perfect for any occasion. My favourite shade in the palette has to be   'Sugar' which is a lovely silky bubble gum pink.

Pixi Glow Mud Mask
Oh my goodness I just love this face mask, its perfect for simulating, clarifying and brightening the skin. The minreal rich mud mask draws out impurities, fights breakouts and also gives an energizing boost to the skin to give a boost to the complexion.  It contains Kaolin & sea salt for purifying and also ginseng & aloe vera to balance.

Jeffree Star Velour liquid lipstick in Coral Fixation
I am a huge Jeffree Star cosmetics fan as the products not only look amazing, but they also work wonderfully well too. I love the coral shade as its vibrant and suits my subtle eye makeup. My biggest reason for adding this again this month is that it's so comfortable to wear and doesn't fade or go dull.

What were your beauty favourites this month?

Take care
Mel xx

  1. I haven't tried any of these products but I have heard good things about Pixi. At the moment I am loving any of the Karma products from Lush, they all smell so good.

I want to try the Pixi Glow Mud Mask. I am looking for a good mask to use, so I think I will check out this one by Pixi. Read a lot of good reviews about this beauty and make up product line.

  8. That serum you got must be goals! I'm seriously looking for a serum too and I hope get one as plumping and hydrating. The mud mask also looks good. I'm using a clay mask currently and I'm really loving it too.
