Lush Pirates of the Carrageenan | Review

Lush Pirates of the Carrageenan | Review
It has been ages since my last Lush blog post ( the last one being Iris Flower Bath bomb – which I loved by the way) This blog post has been long overdue so its time to write a few reviews on some bath bombs I have tried from Lush recently.
I bought this bath bomb mainly because it reminds me of one of my favourite films ever … Pirates of the Caribbean. This bath bomb is part of many new bath bombs added to Lush online and in-stores.
Anyways let us get on with the post, shall we?

Lush Pirates of the Carrageenan Review
Ingredients
Sodium Bicarbonate Citric Acid Carrageenan Extract Kombu Powder Patchouli Oil Petitgrain Oil Pimento Berry Oil Sandalwood Oil Ginger Oil Cream of Tartar Water (Aqua) Titanium Dioxide Synthetic Fluorphlogopite Sodium Coco-Sulfate Tin Oxide Dipropylene Glycol Cocamidopropyl Betaine Alpha-Isomethyl Ionone *Eugenol *Limonene *Linalool Perfume Colour 47005 Colour 77491 Colour 42053 Colour 59040
Cruelty-free & Vegan-Friendly 🐇
Design
This is in shape of a treasure chest which has a skull and crossbones on top of the chest. The colour of the bath bomb is like a lovely seaweed green with a blend of gold.
Scent
The first thing I noticed with this bath bomb is that it smells fresh and earthy. Key ingredients in this are; Carrageenan Extract, Petitgrain Oil, Sandalwood Oil and Ginger Oil.
In the Bath
I had this for a few weeks before deciding to use this bath bomb because it looked amazing in my storage basket in my bathroom LOL!
Putting it in the bath the green and gold mixed together and made the most luscious green I have ever seen before, it was so bright and beautiful omg. Now not only was it a lovely green but they were also carrageenan extract in the bath water too ( Irish moss seaweed)

Once in the bathtub, the bath bomb melted a layer of green to reveal a treasure inspired yellow inside which I think added a bit of quirkiness. –

As I said above the smell was very earthy and fresh. The scent I could smell the most was the sandalwood, it’s really amazing this bath bomb and it has become one of my favourites because it smells nice, has amazing bath art and looks pretty cool too.
Lush Pirates of the Carrageenan | Review

I just love this bath bomb. Firstly it’s my favourite colour… green. It has the most amazing fragrance blend that I have smelt in a while in Lush. The design isn’t the typical round bath bomb shape and a quite funky treasure chest shape which for me adds a bit of charm.

Now, this is part of collection of a far few new bath bombs from Lush. I have no idea how long these will stay but I will definitely have a wee restock of this because of its one of my favourites now.

Since it has a little bit of seaweed in it, its best to rinse the bath after the water has drained otherwise could stick to the bath which would be a pain to remove.

Pin me for later?

Until next time

Great review! I saw this one in the shop and was also drawn to it because of the name lol. But I didn't like the smell too much. It looks lovely in your tub though, I love the green colours.

Ooh this sounds lovely! I love it when bath products have natural extracts like seaweed in.
I wish I could use Lush but all the shimmer and glitter irritates my skin 🙁
