August is my birthday month, so several of my beauty favourites from the month are actually presents I got for my 29th birthday. Now I know you may be thinking its a bit late for an august beauty favourites post, which I can understand but I want to share with you all my favourites as these posts are so fun for me to do. I also only have makeup in this post as I have a post coming up in the next few days all about my skincare favourites that I enjoyed using in the summer.
Last month in my July Beauty Favourites post I wore more subtle makeup ( well more subtle for me that’s for sure) but this month its brighter choices. Brands in this month’s favourites are ‘Jeffree Star Cosmetics’ and a brand new to me ‘Fenty Beauty’
Are you excited to read about my choices? Check them out below.
My August Beauty Favourites
PRO FILT’R Soft Matte Longwear Foundation (RRP £27)
I got this for my birthday and wow I just love it! I went to my local Boot’s which has a Fenty counter and I got a shade to match my skin tone which was brilliant as it matches my skin perfectly. They are 50 shades in the range which is huge.
It has a medium to full coverage, so you can build it to your own preferences. For me, it is super long-lasting even in hot/rainy weather. My favourite part about this foundation is that its full coverage and lightweight, such a nice feeling trust me.
Stunna Lip Paint Longwear Fluid Lip Colour (RRP £19.00)
Now I know I have another Fenty Beauty product in the post but I couldn’t help but add this! This lip paint not only looks beautiful in its packaging but the actual product itself is amazing too. The applicator makes it super easy to apply the lipstick and the lipstick itself looks flawless and very pigmented, love it.
I have unlocked which is a gorgeous hot pink shade! I am looking forward to trying more in the range. I want to try ‘Uncensored’ next time which is a lovely red shade.
Lashes ( various prices)
I have no particular favourites from Eylure because I have a variety of their lashes and I love using them! They are comfy to wear and they are so many styles to choose from.
Worth the Hype Volumising & Lengthening Mascara (RRP £9.00)
Now it says it volumises and lengthens but with mascara, I am a bit dubious on those kinda claims because most I have tried, whether it be premium or budget they dont work well for me. This mascara, on the other hand, works wonderfully! It does go all dry and flaky and most of all it makes my eyelashes look thicker and longer.
I have had this palette for over a month now and my goodness I just love it! I was a little dubious to get it at first but its up there with my favourites now. This has a mixture of shimmers, mattes and two shades that are in the Jawbreaker palette. They blend so effortlessly and they don’t need a primer ( but primer will make them stand out more)
