Revolution Forever Flawless Chilled with Cannabis Sativa Palette | Review

My blooming goodness the name of this palette is a mouth full isn't it? LOL 

Anyways back to the post, Revolution has grown so much since it came out a few years ago. I have lost track of all their new releases, they seem to be something new every week aha! I have a few of their eyeshadow palettes the last one I purchased is the Revolution Creative Vol 1 palette just before the summer holidays. I didn't check out many of their releases for a few months after that until I saw the  Revolution cannabis Sativa products including this Revolution Forever Flawless Chilled with Sativa palette and I kinda thought to myself ... in makeup now like? but hey I wanted to try them to see if they are worth the hype. 

My first impressions of the palette are that it looks very impressive! The packaging is really nice and matches the theme of the product. I will like to add the eyeshadows themselves don't have any hemp smell like that. A big reason I got this was that I wanted more greens in my eyeshadow collection and thought this palette has a nice selection of them. The selection of eyeshadows in the palette is earthy-toned with a mix of mattes, shimmers and glitter powder shadows.

In the pan, the eyeshadows look very vibrant and high quality and naturally I was expecting some epic swatches and eyeshadow looks but damn some of the eyeshadows were a nightmare, especially the mattes because they took some work. The shimmers are much better but even then can be patchy unless you build them up. 

Another thing I noticed was when I pulled back the label was that shades 1 (Hybrid), 2 (Goddess) and 9 (Bud) aren't even suitable for use of the eyes!!! Seriously, its marketed as an eyeshadow palette but yet 3 of the shades aren't suitable for the eye are. I think it's pretty daft hiding that info under the back label too. Not only can't you use these shades but they are also quite messy and hard to use, which is a shame because they do look very pretty. 

I have to start by saying the packaging is really good with this as it feels nice and sturdy and also has a generous size mirror inside too, making it very handy for travel.

When I started to use the palette I was quite enthusiastic and excited to see what looks I could create with this palette but I struggled as some of them ( especially the mattes) are particularly to blend and build up. I found the shimmers the best in this palette as they are buttery and very easy to apply and use. I really wanted the greens to be better because they are the main reason I bought this palette. I don't want to complain much and I will make the most out of this palette and combine it with others to create different looks. 

I really would suggest using an eyeshadow primer first to make the eyeshadows stay better and make them pop. I also like using just one of the green shades with the golden tone eyeshadows.

If your thinking of getting this palette i would suggest swatching because they look so different in person compared to online. This palette costs £10  which normally for 18 eyeshadows is a steal but keep in mind what I said above.
