At the start of lockdown, I was very fortunate to get a lovely email from Antipodes asking me if I would like a self-care package. I jumped at the chance as I love skincare products and being honest I felt a bit low at the start of lockdown as they have been so many changes during this uncertain time. They sent me some of their new products as well as some older favourites too.
When the box came it was so tiny I found they may be only a small gift inside but nope, they was two skincare products and two lipsticks. Inside was the new Antipodes Baptise h20 hydrating gel, also new was the Kiwi Seed Gold Luminous Eye cream. Lastly, they were two healthy lipsticks in the shades in Queenstown Hot chocolate and Forest Berry red.

I thought I would start the post and tell you a little more about the brand. Antipodes is cruelty-free and all vegetarian product brand. Everything is based around science and the products are also organic too. The packaging is environmentally friendly as the boxes are biodegradable and made from sustainable forests. The primary packaging such as the jars, tubes and bottles are all recyclable. Also, the inks on the packaging are 100% vegetable-based.
Antipodes Baptise Ultra Hydrating Water Gel
This is a new gel from antipodes and the first thing I noticed about it was how lovely and refreshing it smells. It is also very lightweight which makes applying it to feel very soothing and relaxing.
It has plant-based hyaluronic acid which helps soften the skin, even fine lines/wrinkles. It also has manuka honey which is renowned for its health benefits helps keep the skin youthful fresh and blemish fresh. I love this so much, as soon as i put this on my skin i feel more refreshed. I love the fact it doesn't feel heavy. It can be used in the morning and evening and you simply apply it all over your face, neck and decolletage.
Antipodes Kiwi Seed Gold
Next up we have another new product! This is an eye cream that you can use in the morning and evenings. The eye cream is infused with pure 23k gold flakes to give the skin a warm glow and bring calm to stressed skin. Other ingredients include kiwi seed oil which is high in omega 3, vitamin c and e which in turn help improve skin elasticity and fine lines. Lastly, it has vinanza grape & kiwi which help improve the appearance of skin by targeting redness and pigmentation.
I love the texture of this cream, it's very smooth and soaks into the skin rather quickly. It works wonderfully well teamed up with the Baptise h20 hydrating water gel. You use this around your eye area with clean fingers.
Healthy Lipsticks
I knew antipodes had skincare products. but I never knew they had lipsticks! They are both certified vegetarian and I was lucky to try out two of their shades. Queenstown Hot chocolate is a decadent brown and it's lovely nude lipstick. The other shade is Forest Berry Red which is a wild warm based true red.
The lipsticks are inspired by natural health supplements. Each lipstick has avocado oil which has essential fats, vitamins and minerals which helps produce collagen helping to keep lips dewy and fresh. They also have evening primrose oil which is edible oil which is rich in fats. Argan oil which balances oil production and keeps lips soft. Calendula oil which is an oil from the marigold flower which has anti-inflammatory properties.
I love both of these lipsticks as they are easy to apply and give vibrant results. My favourite has to be Queenstown hot chocolate as it's so versatile.
My thoughts
I really love this self-care package that antipodes sent me. I am very grateful as each product has so far wonderfully well for me. I will be writing blog posts about the individual products eventually on my blog when I have finished them but so far so good with every single one of them.
This is the first time I have tried anything from Antipodes and my impressions of the brand have grown and I can't wait to try out more of their products.
Have you tried Antipodes before; if so what are your favourites?
until next time
