If you follow me on Instagram you might have noticed I dyed my hair with Colour Freedom Pink Pizzaz a couple of months ago. When I dyed my hair pink it went down so well! Even though I loved the pink pizzaz, I fancied a little bit of a change mainly because didn’t stay vibrant very long. I decided to go for a deeper pink so that’s I got Colour Freedom Magenta Dream.
It’s not the first time I have used Colour Freedom over the years, they have been a brand I have come back to many times! The best things about them are that they are Cruelty-free, Vegan and very affordable. They have a nice variety of bright colours to choose from but my favourites as you might guess is the pinks!

Application
Applying Magneta Dream couldn’t be eaiser even though it can get messy! I apply this by washing my hair with my usual shampoo then I towel dry it followed by applying vaseline to my skin so the dye doesn’t stain. After that, you apply the colour freedom like a conditioner. Now since it’s a super vibrant colour I suggest using the gloves included and an old towel so nothing gets stained.
The smell of the dye is luscious, it’s a floral scent that lasts! I like to leave it on for 30 minutes then I wash it off with warm water (hot water removes hair dye much quicker)
Since the formula is made with Shea Butter and argan oil, it nourishes the hair and adds shine while giving you fabulous colour!
If you are after a pastel shade then you would need mix this with their ‘Pasteliser’ (sold separately)
How does it look?
When I first washed it off my hair I thought it was a deep purple which kinda made me a little worried but once I blow-dried my hair and styled it, my hair looked like the perfect Magneta shade.
I have had Colour Freedom for a couple of weeks now and I have washed it a handful of times and my hair still looks vibrant which is a pleasant surprise! It lasts much longer than pink pizzaz and luckily for me, covered it too.

Pros
- Cruelty-free
- Vegan Friendly
- Sulphate Free
- Affordable
- Long-lasting colour
- Fresh floral scent
- Generous size bottle
- Can be bright or pastel
Cons
- Can get messy, always have a towel and the gloves!

I will keep my hair pink for a while that’s for sure! It lasts a long time and doesn’t cost a lot! I sure need to stock up on this while it’s on offer 🙂
Colour Freedom is available online in their online store or in-store or online at Superdrug.

What a gorgeous look on you!! I’d love to be able to pull off a colour like that xx
Wow your looks so beautiful. I love colorful hair. Currently my hair is blue. I enjoyed getting to read your review on this hair color product. I don’t believe I have ever heard of this hair color brand before.
I have been thinking about dying my hair a nice bright colour like this. But I bit scared, as my hair is dark brown and I have always gone darker, never lighter.
I had pink hair once, when I was younger. I used a box dye too – it’s surprising how good those dyes can be.
Oh wow I absolutely love it and it suits you so much!! I’d love to go a different colour , but wouldn’t dare do it on my own lol
Obsessed with this colour, it looks so great on you! I really like colour freedom, they always have a great range of vibrant colours and easy to apply! Thanks for sharing x
I always love your hair! Pink really suits you!

Your hair looks amazing, it’s so good that it’s lasted well. I don’t have blonde hair (or bleach my hair) so I don’t tend to get colours as vibrant when I dye my hair x
That is a gorgeous vibrant pink. Not sure I’d pull it off but it looks great on you.
