The streaming series I have included in this post are from Netflix, Disney + and Prime. I have not run out of things to watch..yet on these streaming apps, thankfully! ‘5 Series I Loved Streaming’ so far this year I have watched this year have been so good, I may even watch them again!
Over the past couple of months, I have been finishing series off in record time, as they have been addictive and have been enjoyable to watch. When it comes to series, I am not fussy about what I want to watch but I usually go for fantasy, thriller and horror categories!
Check out some of my Netflix favourites here
The Witcher
‘The Witcher’ is something I have wanted to watch but I just never got round to it… silly me, I’ve been missing out! It’s one of those shows that takes a little understanding as the episodes are all over the place but once you get the story you may love it, I sure do! I am now in the middle of season two.
The Witcher is based on a man called Geralt who struggles to find his place in the world. During the season you will see a lot of the time people are more wicked than the beasts.
YOU
These seasons are based on a man called ‘Joe Goldberg‘ who will do absolutely anything for love ( no, I am not breaking out into the meatloaf song haha!) He seems like a charming guy at first but that’s not the truth, he’s obsessive to a crazy level.
I loved the first two seasons of ‘YOU’ but I am not so sure about the third season.
All of us are Dead
This series is about trapped high school students who are trying to escape a zombie outbreak that started in the school (caused by a science teacher). The zombies end up taking over the town and the students try to escape. I sure jumped out of my seat a few times watching this. I do love zombie thrillers and this series is great! I’m hoping they bring out a season two!
American Horror Story: 1984
I had no idea that the newer seasons of ‘AHS’ were on Disney + until my mum told me about it! ARGHHH I just love that I found this out because I watched season 9 which is called ‘1984’ in just 3 days, so binge-worthy!
The 1980s was the time of horror movies, great music and fitness. You will find that in this season they are a mix of things including cringy 1980s aerobics, Richard Ramirez and Mr Jingles. 1984 is set in a camp on a lake with a serial killer on the loose, oh my goodness it was a scray.
American Horror Story: Double Feature
American Horror Story ‘Double Feature’ is split into two parts. ‘Red Tide’ is about a family who moved to a seaside town the father is a writer trying to find his muse as he tries to find inspiration for a new script. Soon the locals make themselves known.
Death Valley is about teens who are swept up in a deadly conspiracy..aliens!
Snowpiercer
The new season is finally out.. well partly! The episodes are now on every Tuesday on Netflix.
If you have watched the previous seasons you will know the world outside is frozen and the survivors are on 1000+ train cars long. The creator of the train, Mr Wilfrod is a harsh person with something cunning up his sleeve.
This season is based on Andre’s visions of finding the tree of life and a life off the train. Will they take the risk? We will have to find out.
Loved the Witcher! I cosplayed him last weekend at Megacon, it was amazing!
Totally agree about The Witcher!!! One of the best things on TV right now.
I still need to give YOU a go – everyone says good things.
Interesting set of series. AHS seems to be intriguing.
I haven’t seen any of these series but they seem really interesting! I’m more into sitcoms, and of course Bridgerton aha x
I love You and The Witcher, both such good series! I love SOME AHS series but there’s a few I need to catch up on so this has reminded me!
Oooh!!! Thanks for the fab review!! I will be checking out ‘YOU’. The scarier ones you mentioned would probably keep me up at night, so I’ll steer clear from those. 🙂
Fab suggestions! I hadn’t heard of any of these before but All Of Us Are Dead sounds like something I’d enjoy – I love zombie thrillers! Thanks for sharing x
I love watching a good series and just finished Bridgerton. I never miss an American Horror Story so I will try and catch these.
My playlist just got bigger. Thanks for the movie and show suggestions.
Love seeing a couple of familiar names on this list, alongside a few I have not checked out yet! I enjoyed Bridgeton (Season Two) and Inventing Anna. I am also watching older seasons of NCIS on the platform. 🙂
We love You and American Horror Story. I will be checking out The Witcher! It’s cold here this weekend so now I have something to watch.
I’ve not seen all of these yet. I was considering Witcher as a friend also recommended it. I haven’t seen any of the American Horror stories in ages. I’m not sure where I got up too.
I watched snowpiercer years ago and was surprised by how much I enjoyed it. I’ve been wanting to give it another watch!
These are great recommendations! I haven’t seen the third season of You yet, but I am keeping my expectations low since it seems like it is not as good as the previous seasons.
I also didn’t know AHS is on Disney+ so that’s good to know!
We watched YOU but haven’t picked it up again since it came back out. I hope it is as good.
So many great shows here. I keep hearing about The Witcher. Need to check it out
I really love watching movies and series thanks for this great recommendations! I’m gonna add this to my list!
Isn’t AHS great?! Most tv shows go downhill after a while but I love that each season is different and keeps it fresh.
Also, I need to get disney+!
We started watching The Witcher but didn’t get to continue watching it. We did enjoy YOU and I enjoyed All of Us Are Dead.
Oh yes! Some new and interesting suggestions. I will definitely check them out.
