It's been 5 years since I last did a post about my goals for the year. To be honest, life just got in the way of my blogging. I fell out of love for a while for a few reasons. One was that I struggled to move my blog back to blogger and I felt like it wasn't worth it anymore.
As time has passed, the love for my blog has come back and I am actually looking forward to getting back into a routine with it. I updated the layout and feel positive for a good year on my blog.
Anyway onto my goals for the year!
Keep up my fitness routine and weight loss
Until 2022, my fitness journey was going wonderfully well, I had everything sorted with a routine. Then in 2023, I fell off the bandwagon, hard! Not going into much detail but it wasn't fun and it threw me right off course. I gained some weight, I am still 60 pounds lighter than I started but I hope to lose 20 pounds this year.
I started my journey again just recently and I have a plan. I really enjoy calorie counting with high-protein foods. For exercise, I like walking 10,000-15,000 steps or home workouts including walk workouts, weights and yoga.
Grow my hair
I have had short hair for a few years now, I am a little tired of it now and want to try to get my hair just past my shoulders. I have damaged hair but I am on my way to fixing it and making it healthier.
I am currently using a bond-repairing hair care product in a last-ditch attempt to keep my hair a bit healthier.
Start reading books and finish them
Last year I think I read max 2 books. Appaling really considering I was hoping to read a book a month. I have a few books I want to complete and a few more on my book wishlist, any suggestions to read more will be appreciated.
I have Stephen King books, and fitness and beauty books I need to try to read. Wish me luck haha!
Go to bed earlier and wake up early
Out of all the things I can't seem to get right is a good bedtime routine. Getting up in the morning is a real struggle because it is still dark outside and the cold weather makes you want to stay in bed like a warm cinnamon bun. My routine isn't great as bedtime for me varies so much. At the moment I currently wake up at 7.30am but hopefully will get it down to 6am.
Be more organised with my social media and blog
I haven't been on my social media for a fair amount of months, last month I felt ill and before that, I was contemplating a change up or not. I feel like Moonlight Mel is still me and I have so much to give with it, so that's why I decided to keep with it
Hopefully, this year will be a great year for my blog and social media
What are your goals for 2024?
Mel
Until next time

I have been working on this. I don't have a list of things, but I also want to work on better health and fitness, and sticking with reading. I start so many books and then just give up because I'm too distracted and I don't have enough time (although I could make more time).
ReplyDeleteIts the best time of the year to set your goals, and by doing it in a post like this means you serious about achieving it. Love the attitude! Keep up the good work and may you reach your goals this year!
ReplyDeleteGood goals! Love that you want to read more. I am trying to make an effort to read more books this year as well.
ReplyDeleteStart reading books and finish them is a great goal. I love to read but have a hard time finding the time to devote to it.
ReplyDeleteI’m looking for a new job this year. I’ve been having issues with my feet and I can make more money elsewhere. I’m not in a hurry bc I want the right opportunity to present itself.
ReplyDeleteI'm also working on going to bed earlier. It's hard going at first but once you get into the routine it becomes far easier to do.
ReplyDeleteI can totally relate to your journey, and it's inspiring to see you back with such positive energy for your blog! Your fitness goals are motivating, and I appreciate your honesty about the challenges!
ReplyDeleteThis year I am also focusing on my bedtime routine, since I hardly get good sleep! I want to move my current website to Blogger too, let's see what my developer suggests.
ReplyDeleteEverything Enchanting ❤️
Best of luck in attaining your goals. I have a list of goals myself. Have a happy 2024! -LYNNDEE
ReplyDeleteGood luck with your goals. They sounds so inspiring, and keep up the good work. thanks for sharing your goals with us.
ReplyDeletei definitely have exercising and better sleep routines on my goals for the year too
ReplyDeleteI'm determined to grow my hair this year too. I went from blonde to burgundy a couple of weeks ago as well. It was a big move as I don't like change, but I turn 40 in October and I feel like I've never done anything wild yet LOL
