This is the first post like this I have ever done on my blog but I have decided to have a little bit of a change to add a little more dimension to my blog. These monthly rewind posts will have a mixture of subjects including fashion, what I’ve been watching and blog posts during the month.
Lockdown is on day 10290…. well it might as well be because I have lost count on how many days now. June was a super fast month for us all which is funny because jump back to April it seemed to last forever. Lockdown is taking some adjusting too but we are doing our best for sure.
When it comes to lingerie I do like lacey vibrant things, which is brilliant because I was kindly some things from Tutti Rouge including this Eva Body in Garnet. I have seen so many positives about the brand on social media. The brand was founded in 2012 and they make lingerie for people with bigger boobs as they knew people struggled to find a supportive and comfortable bras/lingerie in their sizes.
Their website has so many choices that it took me a while to choose which I wanted because all of their pieces are just gorgeous!
It is finally the weekend and I am so excited because we are going to a family wedding tomorrow! I have surprised myself at how organised I am with getting our outfits all ready and getting the card and wedding present sorted too. We went to the mehndi the other day for a little celebration with family and friends; I and my daughters got henna done for the wedding which looks amazing, I might post a little more up about the mehndi in a few days.
Now you are probably wondering ‘whats with the blog title monsoon dress? well its given me such “unexpected confidence’. In the past when it comes to wearing something different I just basically just wore something in my comfort zone which was usually a hoodie with leggings or joggers. Now I still wear these things but just not as often.
Today’s post is a little bit different than the usual beauty and lifestyle posts I do but its something I thought would be fun to post and that is my Lush Wigs Collection. I have damaged my hair a lot in the past and I changed my hair so often that it damaged my hair a lot so I decided to ditch all the hair dyes apart from blonde and lilac and to start wearing different types and shades of wigs instead.
Lush wigs sell a variety of wigs in different styles and shades including lace front wigs. I have followed them for a couple of years now and was tempted to get a wig but it wasn’t until recently that I invested in buying some for myself to try and my goodness I am so glad I did.
I hope you are all having an amazing week so far. I have so far decided the outfits me and my kids are going to be wearing next month for a family wedding, I have chosen to wear a red .dress off chichi and I’ve found ted baker dresses for the girls and my son some shorts and a shirt. I have also applied for some college courses so wish me luck lovelies.
Anyways I used to be a bit dubious when it comes outfits as I was unsure if I would suit certain clothes as I have unkind remarks in the past put me off but you know something? in the past few months, I’ve got past caring what people think of my outfits, as long as I’m happy il wear it, I’m going to embrace my curves.
Spring is in the air and we all know what’s coming soon for many school/college leavers… PROM! There is one thing I regret about being a teen and that was not going to the prom which is such a big shame because so many said it was one of the memorable days of their lives. The biggest reason I didn’t go to prom was the cost of the dress and I didn’t want my mum to spend too much money on a dress that going to be used only once.
That’s where this post comes in! Boohoo have so many dresses that are perfect not just for parties but also for prom too. They have many dresses to choose from and not only that they have the shoes and accessories to choose from too.
As you can see I have styled the dress that Boohoo has kindly sent me with a dusky pink jumper and put on a floral scarf which goes really well with the outfit don’t you think? I bought this in petite as I am 5’3 and find it hard to find maxi dresses that aren’t too long for me, this one is fine paired with heals.
I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of choice of prom dresses available they are many different types. to choose from including maxi dresses, skater dresses and dresses with lots of detail like with lace and sequins, they are dresses for everyone. I just had to show you some of my favourite dresses and accessories that are all budget-friendly.
