Hello everyone
I have been vegetarian a while before deciding to go vegan (I watched Cowspiracy & Seaspiracy-they opened my mind). Since going Vegan I have been pleasantly surprised and seen more varieties of delicious no matter which supermarket I go to, 90% of things you know has a vegan option. THIS Isn’t Chicken Plant-based lemon & herb skewers in my local Tesco and I just had to get them, don’t they look great?
I can’t remember the last time I had skewers before but since I thought these looked amazing I just had to try them. I just had to mention it’s the first time I’m trying THIS.

So what are they?
THIS Isn’t plant-based skewers are chicken-style kebabs that are made from soy and pea protein. The chicken style pieces are marinated in lemon and herb and come on a skewer with onion and peppers, delicious!
They are ready to grill or pop in the oven, no need to prep! (which is good for me as I like quick meals sometimes) Not only are they easy to make but they are high in protein, a source of fibre, vitamin B12 and iron.
How did they taste?
Wow, These blew my socks off! I think these taste divine and I am sure many meat-eaters would love these because the texture is very similar to chicken. The combination with the marinade and the veggies balanced out perfectly.
I made the whole packet for my lunch the same day I bought them and guess what? I ate 3 out of 4! They taste heavenly and are something I would get again. My son had the other one as part of his lunch and he enjoyed it too.
Ingredients
Plant Based Soy and Pea Pieces (32%) (Water, Soya Protein Concentrate, Pea Protein Isolate, Flavour, Potato Starch, Pea Fibre, Maltodextrin, Salt, Rapeseed Oil, Iron, Vitamin B12), Peppers (31%), Red Onion (20%), Lemon and Herb Marinade (14%) (Sugar, Water, Onion Puree, Rapeseed Oil, White Wine Vinegar, Garlic Puree, Ginger Puree, Maize Starch, Lemon Juice Concentrate (Sulphites), Lemon Juice Powder, Yeast Extract Powder, Spice (Ginger, Coriander Seed, Cumin), Dried Red Bell Pepper, Onion Powder, Herb (Parsley, Coriander Leaf, Rosemary), Dried Onion, Garlic Powder, Lemon Peel, Salt, Natural Flavouring, Thickener (Xanthan Gum)), Rapeseed Oil

My thoughts
I really enjoyed them. They cost £3.50 but I got a Clubcard discount and got them for £3. They are in the middle of the price range for me but saying that they are a great treat. This Isn’t Chicken Plant-Based Lemon & Herb Skewers are new products in their range and I can’t wait to try out more of their products.
Find them in Tesco’s and more info on their site here
